rosewood jumbo

This is a guitar that I use as my personal guitar.
It is a tribute to my first good acoustic which was a 1956 Gibson J-185 that I
bought for $235.00 in 1973. As you can see this instrument is a bit fancier that
the original Gibson and the sides and back are rosewood instead of maple. The
mother of pearl Maltese crosses in the bridge and the pearl and abalone "book"
inlays in the fingerboard are both derived from the original J-185 with some
modifications. This guitar has a 24.750" scale length. I have always loved the
flat tops Gibson made in the 1950's and I think this guitar exemplifies that
aesthetic. You can hear this instrument on the listening test on the music page.
