2003 Baxendale Dreadnought

Baxendale & Baxendale Dreadnought 2003. This guitar is a basic dreadnought style. It has a Sitka spruce top, curly mahogany sides and back, one piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The trim is a herringbone bound in ivroid. There is a double herringbone rosette and a pre-war snowflake design inlaid in abalone shell in the fingerboard for position markers. It has a 24.750" scale length and is 1.750" wide at the nut. This guitar is close to what I was making when I owned Mossman Guitars and is particularly suited to flat-picking and other styles of popular music. This sound is full yet even and plays very easy with medium or light gauge strings.
